I am trying to write a spread sheet that will convert say
9-5 or 2-10, convert these to hours and add them up at
the end of the row.
Repeat the same for other employees in other rows & total
each colums.
I have sceen this done, just cannot figure out how?

Thanks
Alex

What if you converted your time to military time format
by using excels built in time formating (rt click-format
cells-number) then the cell that you actually edit would
be for example 7:00 am. the next cell in line you would
change the formatting to military time and make that cell
= the 7:00 am cell. the you use the military formating
cells and due subtraction from the ending time to the
ending time....3:30pm=15:30- starting
time....7:00am=07:00 so the resulting equation would be
15:30-07:00=8:30 or 8 hours and thirty min. if they took
a lunch you could make another cell to enter that number,
or if its a set time you could just put that in an
equation. Let me know if that helps. I think I have a
spread sheet that already does this. Good
luck......maybe you know how I can change the font in a
list box result to a larger size.
