"Converting WMV and AVI format to CDA format"

Can that be done and if so HOW? I need help. I have some of the WMV and AVI files that I need to convert to CDA format somehow. I have a friend who sings karaoke and she needs them. The songs that she has been using is in the CDA format which seems to be all that her machine can use.

Is there a special program I need? I have a cd burner and I can burn other music just fine. I can also burn the WMV and AVI format to a cd but it won't work on her machine.
I have posted this 2 times without getting a reply. I may have posted in the wrong place so I will try here.

Thank you for ANY and ALL help,

Linda,

Try renaming the WMV file to WMA and use the Windows Media Player or Music
Match Jukebox to burn it to an audio CD. The WMA file name is telling it to
use the audio track within the video file.

The CDA files you mention are audio/music files, not video files. I thought
you wanted to strip just the audio from your movies and put them onto an
audio CD.

Maybe I need to better understand what you're trying to do and at what point
it's not working.

Thank you but I have tried that. I either get just the music on a cd or
the clip without music. I downloaded 11 different programs and tried them by
converting to different formats. I have used so many cds. I plan to buy the
ones that you can format and use again next time.

Linda.
As Papajohn has stated what do you want to accomplish?
You have video files and what to have cd music tracks as your finished
product. You will not get video on a cda track.
What product does your friend have to play the cd?
Do you want your friend to be able to see video? or just play the music
portion of the video file you have?
