I wonder if you can help me.

I have a file that has the extension .wma which I assume means it will only
play in Windows Media player.
I want to convert this file to a .mid (MIDI) file so I can use it as a
ring-tone.

Does anyone know of a free program I can download that will convert this
..wma file to a .mid (MIDI) file?

I hope you can help.
I appreciate any help or information given.

Thanks!

Google says this will - if you make a wave from the wma first.

I have no idea how well such a program works as they are not changing music
from one format to another...what they have to do more analagous to
transcribing what you hear (the wave) to a piece of sheet music (the midi).

You are right to be suspicious, Dad, this can only (AFAIK, and I've
*really* looked) on simple single insrument monotonic stuff.

If anyone knows different, please let me know.
