How can I convert Visio diagrams into powerpoint diagrams without redrawing
everything manually in powerpoint?

Thanks. I will check out this link and read it carefully. But I just want to
make sure that I am not just cutting the image from Visio and pasting it in
Powerpoint. I need to be able to add, change or maintain future versions of
the data flows and other diagrams in powerpoint. As far as I know, when I
just copy one image into another, all I can do is resize. Nothing else. We
have a lot of software documentation diagrams that need to be maintained and
updated as software programs change. Has any one else tried this conversion
successfully?
Thanks in advance, for all your help.

If you ungroup the graphic once it's been pasted into PPT (you may have to ungroup
it several times), you end up with a drawing made up of PPT drawing shapes, which
you can edit as though you'd drawn the diagram in PPT to begin with.

However, since it's no longer a Visio object, you can't edit it as though you were
in Visio.

Another approach would be to copy the drawing from Visio then in PPT: Edit, Paste
Special, as Visio Object.

If all goes well, you could then doubleclick the object and edit it using familiar
visio tools.
