converting to pdf

Is there any way at all to convert a record from a form
screen to a pdf format with a single button click??

Yes. You will need a PDF writer installed on your computer... there are
many such available, cheap or free. I use PDF995 myself. Then you will
need to make a report in your database to present the data according to
your requirements. You will need to define the report to print to the
PDF writer, this is done under the File|Page Setup menu from your report
design. Then, your button just has to activate the printing of the
report. If you are using a macro for this, you would use the OpenReport
action.
