Hi,
The first 4 columns in the worksheet convert with no
problem. The last 2 columns are in dollars and they will
not go into access. I changed the format to general number
and it still wouldn't work. Most of the numbers are like
2.50 and 12.34 etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Ken

This is the header plus 2 rows of data. Does this help?
Ken
Code Tradename Dimensions Description
Specification Type Qty List 50%
00260 ProFlex 4x1/8x5/8 DCW Combo Metal, SS
General Purpose T27 25 $2.12 $1.06
00300 ProFlex 4x1/4x5/8 DCW Grinding Metal, SS
General Purpose T27 25/100 $2.18 $1.09

Can you add the rows to the DB if you change the format to a string ?

I think yes. Problem is access doesn't like the $ sign, so, either loose it
in excel or convert to a string in access.
