Converting secured database

I have picked up a database that has been developed by a
third party and am trying to convert from 97 to 2000.

Looks like the developer has had a bash at applying
access security and, as a result, no users have
administrator rights.

This means that, although I have been able to convert
tables, queries, reports and modules, I cannot convert
forms by import, export, copy or other standard methods.

Does anyone know of a way round this?

Happy to code, if that's the way :-)

What do you mean when you say that you can convert some objects, but not
forms? Coversion (from one version of Access to a higher version) applies to
the db as a whole. You can not convert some objects but not other ones.

Can you get the workgroup file, user account, and password from the
developer? That would be the easiest solution.

Oops, I guess you mean you have copied those other objects into a new
database, but can not copy the forms. In that case, the advice to locate (or
recreate) the original workgroup file would be the way to go.
