I downloaded a powerpoint presentation from a website.
Does anyone know how to convert it into a format such that
I can read the entire presentation all together without
having to click for each new line of material?

You either have to have PowerPoint or the PowerPoint viewer installed on your
system to view the file. Without knowing how the original presentation was
prepared regarding animations, and transitions it would be hard to give you a
proper reply.

If you have PowerPoint, it'd be a matter of removing all the animations from
the text boxes.
If you're using the free Viewer, you're probably stuck unless you want to
print the presentation.
Which also leads to: if you have Acrobat or a similar PDF making tool, you
could print to PDF then view the results in Acrobat/Reader.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint Viewer doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking
for (to disable animations or transitions defined by presentations author).
You would have to edit the presentation in PowerPoint and choose the "Show
without animations" option in the "Set up show" dialog.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint Viewer provide this kind of functionality (ability to override
some slide show settings specified by presentation author), don't forget to
send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
