Can anyone tell me if, or how, to convert Powerpoint posters (i.e., 48 in
wide x 36 in high) to PDF format? I've tried printing using Distiller, but
it's not working. I've done this with manuscripts via MS Word and never
have had a problem.

Hello Peter,

What error are you receiving? What version of Distiller?
I create PDFs of presentations routinely and use Distiller with no problem,
so most likely it is a print setting that needs adjusting and all will work
fine. Did you go in and adjust the output size, as most printer drivers will
default to letter size and you need to specify a custom size (48x36).

What's "not working" mean, Peter?

You might need to change Distiller's or the Adobe PDF Printer driver's page
size to match that of PPT; or it may be enough simply to open the
(presumably cropped) PDF in Acrobat and use Document, Crop Pages to set the
crops back to 0 all around.
