Hi all,

I want to make my xp file system Fat32 instead of
ntfs of which it is currently.
Is this an option?

Yes,reformat!

Yes.... Partition magic.

But be warned you will lose the security the NTFS offers.

Why would you want to go backwards.......

It is not so much going backward but rather I wish to
back-up my entire hard-drive and Nero doesnt
recognise ntfs.
Also, once the system is fully backed-up i intend on
doing a complete format and making it a dual-boot
system with win98.
I am not so much concerned about the security aspect
and i want win98 to be able to see xp so that i can drag
and drop both ways.

thanks

That's funny. I have the latest, fully updated, version of Nero and it sees
my six hard drives perfectly - and all are NTFS.

Seems to me that this is either a PEBCAK error, or you have a very outdated
version.

I would second using Partition Magic, a complete reformat is the purest
method but having used Partition Magic a few times the time it has saved me
is tremendous.

I have heard good things about Partition Magics Boot Managers for dual
booting. Not tried it myself though as the last time I dual booted was
win3.11/Win95 :-)

Hope this helps

Andy

Pretty soon there will be no one left for you to kill file. Then how will
you vent your hateful spitefull bull sh*it?
