Hi, I created my first PP Show and want to add music. I found a Chet Atkins
I want so badly to add, but the file is not .wav. I have attempted adding it
as an object, thru Microsoft Media Player, but I apparently did it wrong as
I get nothing but an ugly icon and no music.

How do I fix this. I just love this music.

Hi Shirley,

The free program "Switch" will change music files to .WAV.

Good Luck.

If you insist to use wav. file. Use a wav converter like "Advanced MP3
converter" to convert Mp3 to wav file.

Please google up to find this product.

Yes, I want a wav song...I have check out wma songs and I just can't find
one...I fear the song I want is the problem, it is protected, so I might not
can convert it...I have tried other converters, but will give this one a
try...They all have stated the song is protected, but then says it have been
converted...So I just don't know...

Rustic Dance...Oh there are many, many instrumentals I would love to download
and convert...that's why I want so badly to be able to convert the
songs...Like I wrote to yong.jj, I fear the protection may be the problem...I
have been using SpiralFrog...Can you suggest a better source?

Good Morning Michael, unfortunately your directions for inserting the music
(file) is exactly the way I have been attempting to do it...It just keeps
telling me I need a wav file...By the way, this will sound dumb, but what is
"mp3 files " you write about? I don't know the "mp3" part...Thanks...

I don't know if due to the fact the music is protected it won't truly
convert or not...The programs "reports" the conversion is conplete, but who
knows...

Thanks...Shirley

Hello Andy,

I downloaded Switch...Well guess what! This is the first converter program
I have attempted to use that actually told me "why" it won't convert, the ol
digital protection...So now what? Where in the world can I go find a wav
Chet Atkins recording of Rustic Dance? Bummer...At least now I know it can't
be done...Thank you...

how do you convert the music? Which format do you have in the beginning, in
which format do you try to convert and which program do you use for it?

If a music is protected - e.g. a music from iStore - you can try to burn the
music to a CD at first. Usually you will get a CD with MP3-files (that's
what iTune does). Afterwards you can convert the MP3 into WAV with a
converter (audacity or something else). Or you can use the MP3-file directly
in the Powerpoint-Show as Michael suggested.

Hello Pia, the file is a wma...I went to SprialFrog (I think that's the
place, I'm home and I am doing all this at work), I used several programs I
down loaded, the last being Switch...That's the one that finally told me the
file was protected and could not be converted...I have ITunes, so I'll try
working with it...All this is new to me, so I struggle somewhat...Thanks for
all the info and help...

Hello Steve, I wanted to use Rustic Dance, however I had about 15 I wanted to
download so I could switch the music out...Some were buggy type
instrumentals...Great music...

A hundred years ago I saw Bill Anderson, oh my goodness, my mind has gone
blank...It was a Fireman's fund raiser type thing about 35 years ago, and a
whole lot of entertainers were there...One fella was sooo good and spend
about an hour entertaining, great guy...It wasn't long he died of a heart
attack, and he was young...The fella that sang with Dolly Parton,
???Porter??? (she wasn't there tho), so so many...Oh well...Time to sign
off...All you Dad's have a wonderful day Sunday...

OOPS, Michael , you're the one who wrote about the entertainers....Yep, I
would say you were much to young to understand who they were or what made the
craters...

Thanks...Shirley
