Converting MOV to MPG or AVI?

HOW do I convert Quicktime MOVs to MPG or AVI formats? TMPGEnc with the
plugin doesn't work anymore - it converts the video but not the sound.
WinMPG won't let me, since I did a minimum install of Quicktime, and it
requires a full or recommanded level of installation... I'll be damned if
I'm gonna un and reinstall Quicktime (took me AGES to download and update
it...)

Are there any other ways or programs to convert MOVs? I also tried to
upgrade to QT Pro btw, but they don't have a store in NZ and Apple's
overseas stores won't sell me the reg. key...

Try

to reg the QT Pro and then do your conversion and then delete QT Pro
