Converting many audio files at same time

Can somebody suggest me a program that can change the format
characteristic of many audio files (es. from wav into Mp3) just
selecting all the intrested files and not changing the format to every
file, one by one. I would save a lot of time!

LAME encoder will batch convert from command line just fine. So will Blade
or OGG.
