Hi All,

I have a requirement where I need to convert all mails that I receive
into tasks. Is this possible at all? If so, please let me know how or
please point to articles/websites which address this issue.

Thanks,

Vinay

The simplest way is to right-click and drag a message to the Tasks folder.
You'll get a popup menu with several choices for creating the task based on
the information in the message.

The requirement is to filter incoming mails and convert some/all of
them into tasks depending on some rules. Specifically, we want to
implement it as a Server Side Rule.

I tried the same via Outlook Client, moving the mail to Tasks Folder
via a rule, but this does not convert it into a task item. It retains
it as a mail item only. Only the drag and drop seems to do the
conversion.

Vinay.

You might want to poke around www.slipstick.com and see if there are any 3rd
party tools that will do this. There's also a page on Slipstick which
outlines what determines a server-side vs. a client-side rule in Outlook.
