converting fron fat to ntfs

I am trying to convert files on my a diskette to ntfs.
When I run the convert program I get an error message
saying:Cannot determine File System of Drive A.

Any suggestions?

Try copying the files from the A: drive to a temporary

folder on the c: drive. Then format the disk as NTFS,
deleting all of the data on the floppy. Then, copy the
files from the c: drive back to the floppy, which will be
formatted as NTFS now.
 
FYI: All floppy disks are formatted as FAT12. It is not possible to format a
diskette as NTFS, nor is there any need to do so.
