Very often interesting music works that I want to share by
email with friends are too big for email servers to admit
(Hotmail is an example). I know I can compress MP3 or WAV
even with a certain quality degradation, reducing the bit
flow. Anyone would know how?
Thanks
Michel

Mp3's are basically compressed wav files.Even with the
lowest bitrates they are probably too large to attach to
email. You can send files with instant messaging programs
such as "Msn Messenger" or "Windows Messenger(that comes
with XP)" as long as the other person is using the program
also.I've tried it once with a 3 minute song (128 bitrate)
just to see if it would work and it did.You could try
it.Also Cdex http://www.cdex.n3.net/ is a good program
to convert between file formats.
