I used the add in to export a short excel 2000 file to
access 2000. I get the message "Microsoft Jet Database
Engine could not find Sheet1$R1C1:R3C2."

What gives. This is new spreadsheet with no previous
named ranges. Range names do not exist.

Hi Roy,

This seems to be a common problem with that add-in. Things seem to work
better if you start off in Access and import the data from Excel.

I used the add in to export a short excel 2000 file to
access 2000. I get the message "Microsoft Jet Database
Engine could not find Sheet1$R1C1:R3C2."

I had the same problem on PC's running Win2K or XP and
using the Access Link Add-in. I installed the Jet
Database 4.0 SP7 hotfix (available from the Windows
Update site), and that seems to have corrected the
problem on Excel/Access 2000, as well as 2002. Hope that
helps.
