I have heard this works, but am unable to make it happen.

Convert an IEEE 1394 Disk Drive to a Dynamic Disk Drive
To convert an IEEE 1394 disk drive to a dynamic disk
drive:
Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Locate and click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dmadmi
n\Parameters\EnableDynamicConversionFor1394

On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then change the Value
Data field to a value of 1.
Quit Registry Editor.

I know the KB says this is for XP, but a couple of people
have told me that it works on 2000 server.

Has anyone got any advice?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Steve,

I have searched and searched and I can not find this registry key anywhere,
being related to 2000.

This reg key is not supported or documented. It is only there because we
shipped a beta winxp that allowed 1394 conversion, then we removed the
functionality.

Some beta sites complained so we enabled the reg key in the shipping
product.

Thank You.
