Converting avi to jpg

We have a sony Digital cam (video & still capabilities) How can we pause the
avi video file and convert it to a jpeg so we can print a photo of the paused
scene? Is there software that will do this?

If you can import the video into Movie
Maker it has an option to do a screen
capture. There's a button just below the
viewing screen called "Take Picture".
