I imported analog audio (cassette tape) as .wav file via a movie making
program called power director. to save this to my computor i had to save it
as an .avi file. how do i convert the .avi file to a digital audio file to
place on a cd?

Try downloading WM encoder 9 series, select "convert audio/video".Also,the
encoder will "capture" youre audio from cassette.

the encoder 9 series seems to work. how do i set the program up to enable me
to capture the audio? i am using a regular tape deck with a cable from the
headphone jack to the microphone jack on my laptop. also how do i set up the
volume for optimal recording (too loud and i get alot of feedback)?
