I have a business card I made in windows, saved in my desktop. It has clip
art on it and is finished. I need to email it to someone for an ad. She
called today to say that she has an older version of windows and needs me to
convert it to a pdf. How do I do this??

google primopdf

It will install as a printer driver.

Its unlikely that windows made anything, rather you created your file using
some program.
Its not the version of windows the other person has but the fact they do not
have the program you used to create the file.

There are a number of free pdf convertors available, just google

Download and run PrimoPDF..

Open the application in which you created your card..

Select PRINT from the FILE menu..

Select PrimoPDF as your printer..

The document will output to a PDF file which you can then attach to e-mail..

If you are creating your card in Word 2007, and this is the reason that your
file can't be accepted, try SAVE AS a 97-2000 document, and then attach the
file to e-mail..
