So...does this mean your "device"
is a DVD Camcorder?

Maybe the following articles will offer
some ideas:

No guarantee...but it may be worth a try to
rename the .vob files to .mpg. Then maybe
you could import them into movie maker.
This is discussed in the article I previously
posted for you.

Here's another article that may be worth a look:

How do you do what? Rename a file?

Right click the file and from the menu
choose...Rename. If...for example, the
current filename is xxxxx.vob you would
change it to xxxxx.mpg

The *other* articles are in the previous
reply I posted for you...here they are again.

(left click the links and go to the various
sites...then read the info...you might find
something useful)

Okay, I tried that and it works...BUT sometimes it skips forward or stalls.
What's wrong?

Maybe you could drag the file to your
timeline in Movie Maker and save it
as a .wmv file. Then reimport the .wmv
file and see if it works any better.

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Tick...'Best Quality For My Computer'
Next/
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

And...the articles I posted for you should
also offer some insight.
