I recently ran out of time on my Office 2003 beta version
and used the Outlook for my email. I uninstalled the
program thinking it would not be a problem to use the .pst
files it used back in my old version of Office XP. I've
installed Office XP and now Outlook says that the version
on my .pst files are incompatible with this version of
Outlook. I am wondering how I can salvage my email by
converting it to the XP version, if that's the only way to
fix it.

Outlook 2003 has a new file format which supports Unicode and can hold by
default up to (but is not limited to) 20GB

To be compatible with previous versions of Outlook follow the instructions

This assumes that you still have Outlook 2003. I do not
have the beta CDs with me and will not be able to get them
for several weeks. Is there a way to down-convert the .pst
without using Outlook 2003?
