i need to convert a word document to an image file,as im writing ina font that i need to send to pc s which dont use this font....

Quickest way will be to print the document and then scan it as an image
file.

Another way will be to take a screencapture of the document (PrtScn), paste
that clipboard image into a graphics program (eg Paint) and save it as a
JPG, BMP or whatever you want.

Or, in Word, go to File>Save as Webpage...

Word can embed the font.

[[Word allows you to embed TrueType fonts in a document so that you can view
and edit the fonts (if licensing rights allow), even if you open the
document on a computer on which the font is not installed]]

HOW TO: Embed TrueType Fonts in a Document in Word 2000

[[About preserving a document's original appearance

Microsoft Word provides several options for creating "portable" documents—
that is, documents that always keep their original appearance no matter
which computer or printer you use to view or print them. These options are
especially helpful if you share documents with others, or if you create
documents on one computer, and then view them from another computer or print
them on a different printer.

Embedding TrueType fonts in a document
If you use TrueType fonts when you create or edit a document, you can save
or "embed" them in the document. That way, others can view, modify, and
print the document with its original fonts— even if they haven't installed
the TrueType fonts on their computers.

Note that TrueType font vendors determine the licensing rights for embedding
fonts. For example, some fonts can't be embedded, and other embedded fonts
can be viewed and printed but not modified.

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Save tab.
Select the Embed TrueType fonts check box.
Save the document. ]]

Since when was an HTML file an 'image'?

Better yet go here:
http://pdf995.com/

they have a free PDF converter. i.e. it sets up a printer driver to PDF.
Anything that you can normally send to a printer in windows can be sent
to the PDF printer. Then all the recipient needs is adobe acrobat, which
pretty much everyone has.

I use it for lots of things. For example if you want to save a web page
in it's entirety you print the page to the PDF printer. Very convenient.

It is free, but for $10 it stops bringing up their web page each time
you use it. I paid, cheap at the price. Haven't had any problems with
it.

If you can remember the 60's....you weren't really there

Select your content in Word, Edit menu - Cut, Edit Menu - Paste Special and choose a graphic format (picture), select the vector drawing you just inserted, Edit menu - Cut, then Edit menu - Paste Special and choose Device Independent Bitmap, select what you pasted and Edit menu - Copy, paste it in the graphic application you want. If you Save As Web Page Word will make the graphic (with a lot of other files).

Try printing to the Microsoft Document Image Writer (available via 2003
Office ... don't know about prior versions).

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

What I usually do is to use the print to file ooption using my office 2003.
It works fine for me but i'm no expert. Hope it helps
