Several months ago, I found some tools that would
convert "structured" text to html. For example
**this** would get converted to <b>this</b>, and
there were other conventions for lists, paragraphs,
etc.
Unfortunately, I can no longer find those tools.
I did find some perl and php scripts but I am
looking for something standalone. I've searched
all over the place with Google but I've been
unable to get back to the original sites. I recall
that one of the systems was documented in a book
and was actually used by the author of the book
to format his book (or was it his web site?).
The tools I saw were reasonably well documented
and appeared to have gone thru various rounds of
development (not something thrown together and
just forgotten).
Pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!
