If I convert the recovery partition which contains the D:\ drive to NFTS
using convert.exe, and then delete the partition, will that disk space be
added to the c: drive?

No!

The only way you can create, delete, resize or merge existing partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows XP installation, is to use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8
(www.powerquest.com).

Hi, Davey.

The space will not be added to C: automatically. As Nicholas says, you can
use a third-party partitioning tool, such as Partition Magic.

Or, you can use DiskPart /extend to grow C: into the contiguous unallocated
space. This is NOT a job for newbies, but all the instructions are in the
WinXP Help and Support file.
