How can I do this using word?

Copy a news article with a hyperlink.
Paste article into word and have the hyperlink converted to the URL.

I can do this on the Macintosh by...
Pasting article into Entourage.
Copy from Entourage.
Paste into MS word (mac version).
Hyperlinks are converted automatically into URLs.

Thanks,

Paste the hyperlink in, then type a space at the end of it. If Word does
not automatically convert it to a hyperlink, look in Tools>Options to ensure
the option is enabled.

For more information, see " Turn on or off automatic formatting of
hyperlinks" in the Word help.

Cheers

Dian Chapman has an excellent Word macro to do exactly that!

wow, that one is just great!
any ideas on how to expand the macros so as to display BOTH the link text AND the URL?
as in converting email adresses hidden as hyperlinks, but keeping the actual persons' names, like having John Jones <(e-mail address removed)> instead of (e-mail address removed)
thanks!
