I have a German Windows Vista on my computer. It is factory-
installed, as I bought the computer in Germany. Is it possible to
convert the Windows to English?

No. Contact the computer manufacturer and ask if
they can send you an English version of Vista. If they
cannot honor your request, you'll need to purchase a
"Full English Version" of Windows Vista and perform a
clean install.

Do you know which manufacturers are more likely to provide the English
versions of Vista? I'm planning on buying another computer, and that
would influence which brand I buy.

Try Dell or HP.

Heh, if you live in the U.S. you just walk in to WalMart and pick any
computer off the shelves. It will have an English operating system on it,
either XP or more probably Vista. In some markets it might have Spanish.
Goddam, I would love to get a German interface computer. Maybe if I go
there they will have a Media-Markt.

If you've been using Windows computers for as long as I have, you could
probably make an upgrade version of English language Vista work by giving it
an XP install CD to look at or something. Check the MS web pages for their
exact upgrade requirements before buying a full retail version.

Cheers
