B Bjorn Landemoo Sep 3, 2003 #2 It isn't the partition that is dynamic, it is the disk. In order to convert a dynamic disk back to basic, all volumes (partitions) must first be deleted. Back up, delete all volumes, convert the disk to basic, and restore. Best regards Bjorn
