Hi
Try doing a Google search and you'll find many macros/procedures to
convert numbers to text. Below a short list for this topic:
MS Knowledge Base:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;213360
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;140704&

Free Addin MOREFUNC-DLL which includes a UDF for this task (for various
languages):

or have a look at
http://www.bygsoftware.com/examples/zipfiles/num2wrds.zip

It contains two methods

Thank you for the helpful links. But I have Excel 2003, I
don't need the additional function, right? Excel 2003 has
=Dollar() function already, why wouldn't it work?

Thanks,

If you looked at the function in help then you would realize it won't
return Five Hundred Dollars from 500 but $500 instead.

Hi Tom
just as a hint :-)
Please don't attach files to this newsgroup:
- you'll create additional bandwith (a problem especially for those
with a volume based internet account)
- many people simply block such postings
