I have an MS Word .doc file that I have saved as a .htm file. When I insert
it into a new web page it is basically too large for the page, although the
original .doc file started out as an 8 1/2" x 11". I am using FP 2002 with
win2k. Any help?

I can only suggest that you edit the new, consolidated Web
page until it looks the way you want.

Web pages and paper are two very different media, and
content created for one seldom looks right when presented
in the other.

The following works for me. I paste word docs into a web page and
specify the width of the page in pixels. I usually use a table of 768
pixels wide, with left and right hand margins set to 0. This looks
good on a monitor set to 800 x 600 resolution, as no horizontal
scrolling is necessary. If my word documents are not very complex, I
strip out the word formatting by saving first as a text file and then
pasting into the web page. This cuts down on the bloated xmlns code
produced when saving Word documents as html files. This produces
pages with shorter download times. If you search on Google for word
to html converters, there are, apparently, programmes that will carry
out this conversion, although I haven't tried these yet.
