Hi,
every morning I print a copy of a newspaper in A3 format.

In order to save ink I would like to print in "gray", because the
"economy" setting of my printer is not enough (HP deskjet 1120c).

How can I do that?
Strydent Inksaver doesn't support my printer.

I need a freeware system to modify the default greyscale table of my
printer.

Thanks

Is there an 'Ink Volume' setting in the driver? Other HP drivers have, and it
definitely reduces ink consumption if you turn it down.

Yes ther is a 'Ink Volume' setting, I've already set it to maximum
"light" but it's not enough for me. Actually I really would like to
print as GREY what is black. Is there any way?

If you are printing from a program such as Word (or Wordperfect for
that matter) you could select all the type and format it as a light
gray colour and then print. This may not work on all printers but it
does print a light gray on my Epson C62.

No, I'm printing PDF files with a whole newspaper and there's no way
changing colour of text and graphics.

I'm interested in issues such as ICM color management with some
freeware utility, but for what I've understood editing them can affect
only colors, not the greyscale, is it true?

Thanks
