Convert .asf to .mp3?

Hi. I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a good stable proggie that
will convert .ASF (windows media streaming files) to mp3's.

Ideally: idiot proof, fast and automatically chooses an appropriate mp3
bit-rate, etc.

I download archived radio shows from a particular station in asf format and
I'd like to archive some of my faves as mp3 files so I can play 'em anywhere
rather than have to be at a computer.

What you can alwas do is extract the audio to wav using TMPGenc end then
encode to mp3 using your favourite encoder, Lame is said to be the best.
