I didn't save the web site I created in Front Page the proper way so it is
in an ordinary folder. How do I convert this ordinary folder containing all
the web pages I have already created into a Web folder--the one with the
globe in it?

Open FrontPage, browse to the folder that contains your web.
Click the folder icon on the toolbar, in the panel that opens click the UP one level icon ( the
folder with the green arrow ) on the toolbar.
Then right click on the folder that contains your web, and select "Convert to web."

Thanks Steve, but that didn't work. When I open to the folders view and
click on the folder in question, the "Up One Level" folder option is
grayed-out. The folder I'm trying to convert is in the "My Web Sites"
folder.

Any help there?

Have you just tried File Open Site/Web and browsing to My Web Sites

Thank you Stefan,

Yes, I have. My path is: C:\Documents&Settings\current operator\my
documents\mywebsites\and then the document name. So when I go to the site
and try to move up one level, I get the My Webs section and I can't do a
convert to the web at that level.

You must open mywebsites as a web / site via File Menu | Open Web / Site
(C:\Documents&Settings\current operator\my documents\mywebsites\)

Once the web / site is open you can not move outside of the web / site.
