I have some Smith Corona PWP files on a floppy.
I can't read them with Windows 95, Windows 98, Linux, or DOS debug.
Looking at the usegroups, it seems that Smith Corona must have put in
a proprietary format.
Can only the Smith Corona DOS conversion program read the floppies?
Where can I download the conversion program?
Do you still have the script that is used in conjunction with the
conversion program?
I would really like to know the "secret" formula to read these files
on a Linux box with the mount /dev/fd0 command. Do you know what the
options are?
I am posting this message to this email group because I know that Jack
Horsfield reads the group and that Jack Horseld's email goes into
hyperspace.
Jack, please contact me at the email address on my website.
Thanks.

to close off this thread...
i wrote an autoit script to drive the original DOS program, feeding
in the filenames.
if anybody else has the same problem, the script and DOS program are
going on to a CDROM and won't be thrown away for a few years...so get
in touch.
