I wanted to bypass the opening screen and used the above command with run

Now when I boot up I get an "unauthorized" message

I can work around it and eventaully sign in but is there anyway I can undo
the

Log on. Run controluserpasswords2. Place a check in the box next to "users
must enter username and password to use this computer." Click OK. The
computer will not boot to whatever you have configured - the XP Welcome
screen or the classic logon prompt.

NOTE: If you do not use passwords, leave the password field blank.

thanks Sharon for prompt response

When you run control userpasswords2, a screen appears. Look carefully at
it. You'll see the quoted text and it will have a check box next to it.

thanks much
