Hi

I have shortcut icons that go to my favourite web sites.
With most I need view all images/pictures etc.
In one, I don't and it downloads extremely slowly especially the pictures.

Is there a way to configure ie so the pictures are turned off for this web
page?
Command line switches for the shortcut or windows script, perhaps?

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Dave F.

Can I

Yes, unfortunately that sets it universally so all other pages, even if
displayed in a different window, don't display pictures.

So, just toggle it off before loading that page and then toggle it back on
afterwards. There is a Links utility called Toggle Images.exe
which does exactly that. It comes in the old IE5 Web Accessories package.
Search this newsgroup (ie6.browser) for posts by Jim Byrd which
refer to graburl.htm for more information about the package.

Another thing you could do if the images come from a unique domain
name is block them using a HOSTS file entry which redirects lookups
to it to 127.0.0.1

Similarly, I would look at ProxOmitron to see if its customization could
allow you to do exactly what you want. (I don't know but I imagine that
as a proxy it can do more refined filtering than just a HOSTS file can do.)

Good luck
