Controlling show transitions with VBA

I'm using PPT 2000 and WinXP. My presentation has timed transitions. I'd
like to cater for being interrupted by having a button that would stop the
transition from moving on, then resume when I've dealt with the questioner.

Is this possible? I have had a look in both my VBA references and PPTVBA
help and not found anything.

VBA is not required for this WW.

While in the Show mode, just press the 'S' key to pause the presentation.
Press the 'S' again to continue.

In PowerPoint 2000 it will complete the current animation then pause the
show's advance until the S is pressed again. In newer versions it will
pause the animation (even in the middle of it) until pressed again.

Well, I've been using it for 7 years and I never knew that!

Excellent. Many thanks. How nice to be still learning at 102.

That's several degrees above the usually recommended 98.6

Take a couple aspirin and call the doc in the am if it hasn't come down.

Oh, and start a screenshow then press F1 ... there are lots more useful
keystrokes you can use during a show and F1 lists them.
