I have a fast computer with 2gig hard drive. I don't
know much about a computer, but in running xp, when I
click on start, control panel, very often it takes 15
seconds for anything to happen.

Is this normal?

It depends on quite a number of things. Having a 2GB
drive makes me think your computer is a few years old now
and may not be that fast anymore.

Click system information and look under 'System Summary'.
What speed does your processor run? (e.g., 2.16 GHz or
2162 MHz)

How much RAM do you have?

Have you downloaded and installed the appropriate service
packs? Check weekly at:

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

Have you made sure you don't have spyware/parasites etc.
If not do a Google serach for Ad Aware and SpyBot. I find
that Ad Aware finds things that SpyBot misses. Run them
both daily.
