There is a hang problem when one does the following
Star
Control Pane
Switch to classic view (or Switch to Standard View
The windows clears the lower left and right sides of the window and the folder being displaye
at the right side of the window intermittently gets updated but the left side doesn't get update
and the whole window stops responding. After several minutes (1-10) I click the X at the uppe
right corner of the Control Panel window and a window pops up telling me the program is not responding so I click End Now then the Control Panel and Not Responding windows go awa
but the Report Error to Micorsoft pop-up window doesn't appear. Subsequent invocatio
of a Control Panel does show the view which I had selected

Is there a patch/fix for this bug

I characterized one simple example of a bug with "that type of window" hanging
I've seen variations. It appears that this is a problem every time one chooses t
switch between classic view and standard. It happens every time. I run into i
about 2 times/week

Does your answer imply that Microsoft's software should only work on things tha
one does constantly? If so that's not even close to the notion that a company shoul
sell products that work properly

Do you have any info that would help me
