control panel, my computer not working

I have windows xp with Sp2. I downloaded
MS antispyware..After I scanned my system and
did the necessary removal, I hhaven't been
able to access a lot my programs. Programs
like 'my computer', 'control panel' etc.
Whenever I select one of these, dr watson
debugger starts, and the system freezes...

Can anyone help me with this ??

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)

If you lack a setup cd that will repair the system: To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type (or paste in): SFC
/SCANNOW
