Control Labels

How/can I disconnect the link between the checkbox and its
label? I want to be able to move the control
independently of the label (and vice versa).

still learning, thanx.
 
click on either the label or the control to 'highlight'
it. move your cursor to the top left of the control until
it changes, then just click and drag. note that if you
move it too far it will change to the double arrow
allowing you to resize the box, that is not what you want
here.
 
Select the Label, and delete it.

Now, if you want a label for that particular record again, create a
Label and type in whatever you want.

Select the label. Cut it. Paste it. It will paste to the upper left
corner of the section. Move it wherever you wish.
If, at some time in the future, you wish to re-attach the label to the
control, select the label. Cut it. Select the control you wish to
attach it to. Paste it. The label is now attached to the control.

Some one else has told you how to move the label independent of the
control without doing all of this.
