control documents in a printer

The users run an application, which in turn triggers another process to print
to a printer configured in a Win2000 server.

Is there a way to allow users to control the documents in this printer?

For example, I need to allow the user to pause/resume printing. And one more
option, to delete suspended print jobs after he/she pauses the printer. We
could not afford the user to signon the server via remote desktop.

I tried testing with a web-based application and let the server to run
scripts in ASP. But that did not and I think it is beause the build-in
Internet account (that runs ASP scripts) did not have the permissions to
control the documents in the printer.

What are your suggestions?

Since this is a shared printer, you might be able to accomplish this most
easily by granting the user or group rights to manage the printer in its
properties on the Win2k server, in the security tab.
