Hi guys,
What I'm trying to accomplish is running a small motor in one direction for
a set period of time when the PC is turned on, and then have it run the
other direction for the same amount of time when the PC is turned off. The
motor will drive some kind of mechanism to make a fan (or other gadgets)
slide in and out of the case when the pc is turned on or off (just like the
CD tray does when you push the button).
The theory I have so far is this:
1) The circuit will be powered by +5vSB
2) It will connect to +5V to sense when the PC is on or off.. (reacts to the
presence/absence of a voltage)
3) I will probably need something like a 555 for the timer and likely some
kind of transistor to do the switching based on +5V presence.
4) It will likely use a stepper motor for precision.
What I don't know is the practical side of what components I would need and
what the circuit would look like. Can someone help me out ?
