I need to control 5 pcs with just one mouse so that when i click in
powerpoint all slides advance at the same time on all pcs. My
thoughts so far are 1. Can I split a ps2 signal into 5. 2. can i use a
usb hub in reverse. 3. can i get 5 rf mice on the same frequency to
work together. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

#3 is the only really feasable of the three options.

Another option is an IR remote so when you point it at all 5 PC's they see
the same click. Remote would have to have some kind of mouse emulation
software - kinda like IRMan used to control WinAmp.

You need to buy a 5-Port KVM switch at a computer store. That will do it.

Wrong AGAIN Dave...

A KVM will NOT let all five PC's see a single mouseclick/keypress, etc.

There's probably some software out there that'll do it, but
I don't know what it is. Otherwise it might be best to use
a projector if possible, instead of the 5 PCs.

1. You cannot split PS/2 KB/Mouse signal into 5 computers. PS/2 Port is
using

serial based mouse/keyboard data communication protocol.

2. USB Hub won't help you because you need to replicate a mouse port data to
all five-mouse ports. USB Hub cannot do that.

3. RF Mouse might work if all five are using the same RF frequency. Anyway,
how are you going to sync all 5-mouse at same mouse position on a screen?

It worked with rf wireless mice, only downside is the 1.5m range but
can overcome that. thanks for all the advice
