Contro panel category view.

When my system is set to 'category view' for the control panel and I click on control panel I get the hourglass figure and there it hangs. Setting to 'classic' view and everything works OK. Anyone have any ideas on this?
 
Hi,

How much RAM do you have on your computer. Go to control panel and then click on performance and maintenance and in the window that apppears click on adjust visual effects. change the effects to "adjust for best performance" and then your performace will improve.
 
But, I can't do anything in category view. How do I accomplish the same in
classic view?
