Is it possible to have a video background run continuously throughout a presentation as the slides are changed, without the video starting over with each slide?

Hi,

Not that I am aware of. I tested and it restarts.

Unfortunately a video is an element on a slide and must begin play with each
slide. If used on the master slide the 'reset' is less visible.

Unless you put it on the first slide only and set its Custom Animation to
'continue slideshow' or 'stop after x slides'.

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the capability movies as backgrounds (such as on
Slide Master) so that they would play continuosly without restarting or
interruption when you change slides.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) feel strongly PowerPoint
should provide an option to have movies play continuosly as a background
across multiple slides, don't forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
