Continuous re-boot after SP4 installation

I downloaded SP4 on my computer and clicked "ok" at the re-
boot prompt. The computer now seems to be in continuous
re-boot mode. It gets to the Windows 2000 display, then
re-boots. Any ideas on a solution?

I have had the same thing happen. I thought it was

Sasser, which came out at that time. I bought a new hard
drive, reloaded and it worked perfectly until I loaded the
service pack and patches. Now it reboots in the middle of
something and will not allow me to add any more software

The same exact thing happned to me. I tried safe mode,
last known good config, etc, and they all rebooted right
after the splash screen

The only fix i did that work was to boot off the windows
2000 cd and repair the existing 2000 install.

Like an idiot, i reapplied the SP and it happened again so
i had to repair it again!
