Continuous pings from my machine on public interface

I have configured the Windows 2000 NAT and everything
seems to work fine. However, I see pings originating from
the NAT box out to public interface. It seems want to ping
all private addresses (it loops through them) on the
public interface. What is it trying to do ?
 
It was the Welchia Worm...Came in through the public
interface when I enabled it.

Someone at Microsoft should update their KB so that
searching for "ping storms" or "ARM storms" points you to
this problem.
