Addenda: Good version ;o)
These are my step-by-steps for PPT 2002 or XP: (I'm using PPT-xp hopes you
can use it as guide)
1. Open PPT
2. Click Blank Presentation from the "New" choices of New Presentation pane.
You don't want any text behind all picture to make it lighter file size BUT you can
still add text later if required. So, click Blank Presentation and choose "Blank" under
Content Layouts.
3. Select for Normal View the beginning buttons located at bottom left cornered.
So you know it is always Frame-1 indicated and to insert pictures.
4. You can only insert one picture at a time:
Click Insert (Menu) > Picture > From File > (browse your pictures) > then click it to
select the picture > adjust picture size to Picture Holder frame (one side 4 times)
Right mouse click on picture > select Custom Animation > Add Effect > Entrance
choose Fade or etc. > click the Down Arrow Head on Start or from the picture
inserted pane and select After Previous.
5. To insert 2nd and succeeding pictures:
Click Insert (Menu) > Picture > From File > then click immediately the picture if all
pictures are in the same folder as above > adjust picture size to Picture Holder frame
(one side 4 times) > Add Effect > Entrance > choose Fade or etc. > click the Down
Arrow Head on Start or from the picture inserted pane and select After Previous >
click the Down Arrow Head on picture inserted pane and select Timing, choose 2,
or 4, and 6 for next succeeding picture Timing.
6. Click Play button to test run it > To make visual Timing correction > click Show
Advance Timeline > click and drag the arrow-head (new Time shown in Yellow
Pop-up Windows). You can easily adjust all pictures arrow-head to suit your Timing
choices for each picture or add texts, sound, speed, and animation.
Print a hard copy for your guide and more practices make perfect.
Hope This Helps (HTH),
Rino
I apologize for my Poewerpoint ignorance but I have spent a couple
hours trying to do this and it didn't work for me, is it possible to
get a step by step on how to do this?
